epson sx515w error message

hi,i have just set up my new sx515w all is ok except that a error message has shown up which reads "A scanner error has occurred" i have tried everything,turning it on and off,uninstalling then reinstalling,etc can you help

says refer to service department.

As your machine is new I suggest taking it back as not fit for service.
