I purchased a new hard drive, adjusted the jumpers as to my old drive but it will not work and does not seem to be able to find the drivers. W7

I inserted a new hard drive haveing adjusted the jumpers and making sure it would boot from a cd or dvd with W7. It started but then would not carry on not being able to find drivers.

HAve you taken the old drive out? and swapped for new?

have you used an imaging program to clone the old drive to the new one? if not then you will have no operating system in the machine.
