How can I open a QR Code

Glen

I am seeing QR codes everywhere, but do not have a smart phone. Just for interest I have scanned one on my Epson all-in-one printer and tried to open it on my Vista PC, unsuccessfully. What do I need to open a QR code? Glen

QR codes are primarily for use with smartphones. There isn't anything built into Windows to decode one. You will need a QR decoder. I haven't tried any but a Google search will point you int he right direction. There are sites where you can upload an image of the the QR code and it will decode it for you.

There have been resent reports of QR codes stuck in random places in public that contain a malware link.

I doubt any malware would affect a Windows Scanner as you are doing. But be aware if you get a Smartphone.
