Problem with camera

I have connected my digital camera to my laptop but the camera is not being recognised which means that I cannot transfer my photos to the laptop.

I go into Windows Live Photo Gallery and click the import button but the camera does not appear. I click the refresh button but the camera still does not appear in the “Import Photos and Videos” box.

Can anyone please help with this?

You could try taking the SD card out of the camera and use the card reader on your computer.
