Just a thought, if the people in PCA Towers know that they are going to be doing maintenance work and that things will be crawling, could they not put a notice at the top of the Forum page and say just that with an indication of the time scale, 1 hour, 5 hours, 2 weeks?

Over fourty seconds to reach here from email notifier.

Another forum I use currently (as of this second) has over 1000 online of which 331 are members and logged in...and access and posting/site navigation is rapid. I have no idea how many users are actually online at any given time with PCA, or how many are logged in members.

It is dreadfully slow though and weekend times like this always seem the worst.

OK now. Trouble with this site is that it's too popular..... :)

"I'm giving up for today"

And thereby, perhaps, hangs a clue to the other thread about the forum being dead.

Hoa many, like Woolwell, and now me, have, on one of the many occasions, given up for the day and never returned?

Me too. Today I think I found out for the first time what everybody has been complaining about. It is like watching paint dry today. Not a good advert for a Computer Magazine.
