acronis problem

hi i have acronis on 4 pcs each with it's own ex drive now on one ex drive when i backup the pc it says backup a success but when i look at the ex drive it shows the acronis file like a dat file and not a tib file also going through acronis the backups dont show att all this has never happened before

When you set up the backup, make sure it is backed up to a .tib file. I think there is an option at the bottom when you set it up. Also make sure it is not set up for a Windows Backup.

I use Acronis 2010 and there is no option to create an image other than a tib file.

I find this happens if I name the file prior to backing up and omit the ".tib" in the file name. If you rename the backup file(s) as a .tib extension it will be recognised by Acronis. You will need to 'show extensions' in Folder Options > View.
