a friend has an external usb dvd recorder, her problem is that when she sets up a record the drawer on machine opens (IE first recorder) how would she overcome this please?

Hi Johnny,

On the Desktop, Double Click Computer, Hover the Mouse over either CD/DVD drive, Right click Properties, Click Recording Tab, Below Disc Burning is a Selector Box, Click in it and select the Other Drive to Record With.

It sounds as if it is looking for a blank DVD/CD. Try using another make of blank DVD/CDs.
