Please can anybody help me, my son sent me some music he played on a cd, it will play in my car and on my computer but will not play in the cd player in the house, I think they are recorded in WMA files, whatever they are, is there a freebie programme that will make it play on the house cd player, as you will gather, I'm not too good on computers so a simple explanation would be good, many thanks for any replies I may get, Brian.

Hi Brian, I know the CD67se. It should be able to play most CDR but probably not CDRW.

As there are a lot of variables in all this, can you put the CDR you have burned in your PC.

This is for Vista but should be similar for other OS's too.

Goto "computer" and RIGHT click your CD/DVD drive with the burned CDR disc in it.

Click on "properties" and looking at the "general" tab make sure that the disc says "Audio CD" and not MP3 or WMA or anything else.

Your Marantz will play CD type files only.

That's the first thing to check.

You can repeat that procedure with the original CDRW disc your son sent you too, just to see what we are dealing with from the start.
