Display error messages

Every minute or so my Dell PC freezes, then comes back and displays the message "display driver IGFXstopped responding and has successfully recovered". Sometimes the screen pixellates and " breaks up". Any ideas about a fix or is it time for a new PC?

It would have helped if you had advised of your OS and graphics card and what you are doing/playing when this occurs.

It could be that you have an incorrect refresh rate selected, you are low on memory or maybe a broken driver. Have a look at these posts and see if anything suggested helps. Vista problem HP solution MS solution
