I need to reinstall win XP when I enter bios it asks for admin password, this must have been set up when PC was built, so how do I find this? I tried leaving it blank and pressing enter but no good.

Thanks guys

buteman, I ran the Windows CD without going into the bios and it went fine, but when i restated the computer it now asks which Operating system I want to use (the original or the one I just installed) what have I done wrong? Can I use PC with two OS? Is it possible to remove the old OS and just leave the one I have just installed?

That must be because you didn't format the disk as part of the install? There is guidance No 20 here

Like onthelimit1 say's you should reformat it and that would remove the old version.
