Help with making a simple program/database

It has been a few years since I did something similar to this and I need some advice on how to do it.

I need to write a very basic program/database that allows you to input two fields (in this case movie names) and will compare the cast lists of those movies before presenting any cast that were in both.

I have done projects like this before but it has been several years, I believe I last used MS Access but I no longer have a copy and am unsure if much has changed in recent versions.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Many thanks,
