Registry edit

I run Windows XP and recently updated my AVG to the latest version. Now, every time I switch on my PC I get umpteen (too many to count) requests to add to my registry. If I allow, all is well until the next switch on when this process is repeated. If I deny changes I get a never ending cycle of requests to add. Why is this happening and how can I stop it? Ooops, up pops another one.

I'd try uninstalling AVG and see what happens. If then OK, try a reinstall (or switch to another - Avast or MSE perhaps).

I would uninstall AVG using the uninstall tool download from the AVG site. This will remove all previous traces of the product - then do a reinstall of AVG using the latest file download available for your version of Windows. enter link description here
