safe to delete old avg folder?

have downloaded avg 2012 checking in programs I found a folder avg 2010 with 2 files 0 folder the files are avgzh and avgzt is it ok to delete this folder

You can delete to your Recycle Bin but don't empty it then if all is working okay in a few days time I think you can safely assume you don't need them. Alternatively rename the folder to something you can remember or AVG OLD

Should have added - doubt you need it now that you have a new version BUT that is the safest way for you.
