Could anyone please tell me what the difference is between:- Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Upgrade Edition for XP or Vista users (PC DVD), 1 User And Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Full Version (PC DVD), 1 User

Full versions can be installed on a bare hard drive, Upgrade versions need a previously installed OS such as XP or Vista (although there is a work around to install an upgrade version on a bare drive).

If you have the full version your XP licence (not OEM) would still be valid for another PC.

Is it possible to do a Clean install using the upgrade version? Thanks for your responses above, much appreciated. John
