In search box type language and select region and language. Make sure format is set to English (United Kingdom). Under the keyboards and languages tab select change keyboards and make the default input language english (united kingdom). Select the united kingdom keyboard in the list. Apply and ok.

If you wish to toggle between keyboards then region and languages- change keyboards - language bar and dot "docked in the taskbar" You should now have "EN" showing near the notification area. Click on this and will allow you to select which keyboard output you want. You will need more that one keyboard in the installed services box for this to work.
