Skype and/or Webcam causing BSOD - can i fix without restore pc back to factory settings?

I've connected up a Trust Primo 17405 webcam and installed Skype. Webcam and skype both seemed to work before downloading drivers for webcam (because i wanted some of the extra features like face movement tracking. Only seems to cause BSOD when clicking on Skype tools- options- video settings- CRASH! I'm using Windows7 Home and Firefox.
Managed to glean the following from error reporting:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 2057
Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C0000094 BCP2: FFFFF8800243859C BCP3: FFFFF88008290810 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 617601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1

Any suggestions on this please? I couldn't see anything useful on Skype website.

I'd go for a system restore and manage without the extra functions.
