Tablet not working

Hi I have a tablet with android 2.2 when I press the on button all I get is the android symbol, on start up it used to build the android then start, I have tried the reset button but no change is there anything I can do or do I have to take it to an expert many thanks

You will probably have to hold the reset button (with a staple) for 5 sec.

Thankyou for your suggestion the make seems to be MID 7" Google Android, I tried 5 sec through to 30 sec but still no luck
