Excel Formulas moving (or not)

Dirty Dick

I have a spreadsheet that has the dates in Column A. When I sort the entries into date order, the formulas in that line (1,2,3 etc.) don’t follow the date.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanx

DD

You can upload the file to a site like www.box.net then provide a link in a reply to this thread.

It sorts correctly for me - I tried both date increasing and decreasing.

Be aware though that your dates are actually in column B

I apologise to everybody, but I WAS including blank cells. Now when I do it without the blank cells it all works.

Also another apology in the delay in replying, but thanks to BT and visits from 5 (YES FIVE) BT engineers, I have been without a landline and Broadband for THREE weeks, but thats another story !!
