wired to wireless

I have a Desktop with wired internet and have now acquired a laptop. I have mislaid discs for setting up Broadband and although the laptop connects to internet through wired connection I would like to use wireless. It does have wireless capability. Is there an easy way to do this without getting back to BT and waiting at least 2 hours to get through?
