hi i recently restored my laptop back to factory settings due to a few problems and my trials of ms office has run out i need office for my college assignments is there any way i can get the product key back without the box I cant seem to find it.

Highly unlikely.

Try something like "Open Office" which is free and MS Office compatible.

As you are a student you can get Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus very cheaply (£37. 89) from software4students.co.uk ClickHere who are an Authorized Microsoft Education Reseller.
