External Hard Drive Problem

Hi folks,

My pc crashed last night, looks like a failure to write to C drive, but I had an external hard drive connected (WD) and now I can't access the data on it from My Computer.

The hard drive is recognised, but when I click to access, I don't see any folders being displayed.

I've tried looking at the data via TreeSize programe and can see all the folders and data but wondered if there is something I can do to fix so that I can access data via normal route...e.g. My Computer.

Try turning off your computer disconnecting the external drive, switch on the computer when it is fully booted plug in the external drive and let windows find the drive again. It has worked for me.
