one laptop on wifi,other laptop wont!

my laptop recently wouldnt connect to a hotel wifi,and now wont connect to a friends sky wifi.my 10" acer connects to both no problem.the one that wont connect is ok at home on my virgin wifi,but wont connect anywhere else....any ideas whats wrong?!thanks in advance

If it is a modem and seperate Wireless try turning both off for 1 minute then turn the modem on and leave for a minute then turn the Wieless on and see if it will work Ok.
