advent 7090 wifi

After doing a reinstall of windows xp on a Advent 7090 I have lost my wifi connection and my sound controls are not working

You're missing some drivers. If the manufacturer's site can't help, try Slimdrivers (free) here

Did try Slimdrivers. This did help fix the driver for the sound card but not the wireless card driver. I ended up taking the wireless card out and getting the make and type from it and going on to the Intel web site and doing a manual download for the driver as it did not find it with the automatic download. Hope this helps others. Thanks Again.

Always best to get the manufacturer's driver if you can, and Slimdrivers will normally offer one. Odd that it didn't pick up your WiFi card, but glad it's sorted.
