Hi guys I would just like to know how I would move windows7 to my new solid state drive? What would be the correct/easiest process to do this? Clean install maybe? Also any advice on how I would move games files like Steam and/or world of warcraft to a SSD.

Also do you still have to defrag a SSD

Thanks for reading.

Richard

No, you do not defrag an SSD - ever!!

The easiest way to transfer everything would be to "image" your OS drive (C:) using one of the many backup programmes available.

This is a good, free backup programme with full instructions

Never done that before, sounds tricky. Can I pick and choose what programs I wish to image? Or would it have to be the whole drive? Bearing in mind that the SSD is 120GB and my HDD is 400GB

Ty on the defrag tip btw.

Richard
