If your username is your email address then it would be wise to change it as you will get spammed to high heaven using it as a username on a public forum..

Obviously overheating. Use on a hard surface and do not obstruct the fan in/outlets.

Contrary to the common name of 'laptop' the fans cannot work properly when used on soft surfaces especially places like rugs, bedding etc.

It turns off to protect itself from damage.

See if you can take the bottom off and clean out any dust in there
