Hp Media Centre M 7000 wish to connect wireless

Hello can anyone assist pls. We have two laptops in the house, wireless connected thanks to you guys. We now have a five year old Pavilion M 7000 Media Centre that we wish to connect wireless to! We have looked at Device manager and it states we have an Intel (R) Pro/100m VE Network connector. Is this what we need at all. Up till now it has been connected with ethernet cable. We have just been to Maplins and bought a Wireless USB adaptor 300N in case the above is not the connector. Is this what we need if the Intel thingy above is not anything to do with it. Any assistance would be appreciated as always. Thank you

The Intel Pro connector is for wired (ethernet) conenction. The adaptor that you bought should provide wireless connectivity for the media centre but perhaps not simply. Did it come with instructions and drivers etc to install?
