Half the netbook screen has turned white

Hi all please read and assist if possible, i have an ACER ZA3 NETBOOK, and all of a sudden when turned on the screen has gone white, i have tried this on an external monitor and all is ok,can someone please point me in the right direction, ccould it be the screen or something more sinister ???

It needs to go back for a new Screen under Warranty.

It's probably just the connection between the mobo and the screen. I've had two Samsung netbooks where this has happecned - in each case, reseating the connection from the harness to the screen has cured the problem. Needs a bit of a strip down, but if you want to give it a try,

Should have added, if it's under warranty still, do as Woodchip suggests
