laptop battery question

I have just purchased my first ever laptop, a HP one. In the advertisement it said battery life up to 4 hours. I am getting only 2hr 15 at the most. I know it says upto 4 hours but I expected it to be a little closer than 2hr 15.

Is this right or is the battery at fault?

depends on its use, some things drain the battery more than others. our sony lappy only ever managed 2 hours at its best on general surfing.

As above really...

you could try clicking the power icon in the notification area at the bottom right and selecting "power saver" when on battery which might help a bit.
