Disappearing Google logo

The logo for Google has disappeared for both IE and Firefox. This has happened before, but as I am in "senior moment" territory I can't remember the cure. Any help would be appreciated.

If you mean that the icon has disappeared from your bookmarks toolbar go to Google

and drag it's icon from the left of the address bar to the bookmark toolbar

I don't really know, but I would suggest running a syatem file check (Command Prompt and type sfc /scannow then hit enter) you will need your XP Disk
