Strange change of Log on screen.

Win XP Home SP3 I am the Administrator and am not password protected. The PC has always booted to desktop and come out of standby to the desktop. A couple of hours ago I did my usual full scan with SAS which found a couple of small nasties ( can't remember what)and many of the usual collection of tracking cookies. I have the PC set to go to standby after 20 mins idle. It is not now doing that, but going to the Windows log on screen. ie 'Click on user name'. Bottom left of screen it has 'Turn Off Home. How do I revert to my normal process please. Rather not do 'Restore' in view of the cleaning. Thanks.

Correction The PC isn't set to 'system standby' just the screen to power off after 10 mins. So it is the boot up screen I would like to change back from the welcome screen to the desk top display.
