bookmarks not backed up; now in docs / settings / favourites

I recently had to do a complete uninstall and install of Firefox 6. Stupidly I forgot to backup my bookmarks and assumed I had lost them. However I found, almost by chance, that they are now on drive C in Documents and Settings / administrator / Favourites. Is there any way that I can reinistate them back into Firefox as bookmarks?

(I use Firefox as my default browser, but also have Internet Explorer.)
