NTDLR missing- What?

Working through some hard drives for later use , some are 'Clean' some with systems on A couple report
NTDLR Missing
What is that ? Could it mean there is a system there but 'broken' and if so could it be restored?
Or simply to remove the partition and have yet another 'clean' disk

Maybe check causes of NTDLR is errors.

Thanks Chaps - so it a damaged/corrupt system or partition Best the clear the disk for a completely new set up me thinks
