Lost keyboard functions after this weeks microsoft updates

Since I installed this weeks MS updates I had lost some of my keyboard multimedia functions. Did a restore to 7 days ago and they all work again. Why would updates interfere with keyboard actions??

Maybe you have a MS keyboard and one of the updates was fopr the keyboard software?.
