Boot Manager Problems

Hi all,
Hope someone can help me,
Was using my laptop and suddenly went pop and this came up on screen.
Windows Boot Manager
Windows failed to start. etc
Asking to insert Windows installation disc---which I do not have, as a friend give me a genuine windows 7
Status Oxc000000e
Info- The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.
Tried to restart in safe mode but just returns to the above screen.
Hope someone can help me this sunny night.

Hit F8 on bootup and choose the option Repair my computer from there choose the option startup repair. From the same menu you can try a system restore to a prior date when it was last working

also from the startup repair screen i would run the command prompt and type in bcdedit to have a look at the Boot configuration data

Have tried both suggestions and both take me to back to the same problem screen.
