Disappearing Flash Drive

I have a fairly old Iomega flash drive which this, my main computer, will not recognise. It recognises all the other flash drives and this particular FD is recognised by the two laptops we have.

It is not visible in Windows Explorer or Computer Management>>disc management although the computer "beeps" when inserted into and removed fromthe USB slot. In device Manager it shows as USB Mass Storage Device and that it is working correctly but still I cannot access it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver so many times I cannot remember how many.

Any ideas please?

USBdeview will show all usb devices

try uninstalling all references to the drive

reboot then try plugging the drive in again.

Thanks for that Fruit Bat /\0/. Still the same result. It is shown as connected, won't carry out a speed test, won't format, in fact won't do anything :-((
