I have a small external hard drive USB connection. It has been portioned I would like to remove the said portions I’m a bit nervous in doing it. I have looked on the helpdesk but I don’t seem to find the answer. If I use fdisk I may do some damage to my PC hard drive. I’m running Vista 64bits

Go...HERE and download 'EaseUS Partition Master Home Edition, it's free. Install it on your PC and follow the step-by-step instructions. They can all be found by clicking the above link.

PS

They are actually called 'Partitions' not portions.

See here Vistas own disk manager will do the job quite safely - just scroll down the page to the section "How to delete a partition"

delete all partitions and refomat the drive as one whole disk.
