Setting tabs in Word 2003

I'm working on a document in which I would like to set tabs so that each line will have the SAME tab settings for four positions across the page.
I can do it for ONE line but is there a way of copying the same settings right down a page rather than having to type in the same thing 20 times? Thanks for your anticipated help.

Can't you use Format, Tabs and then set up the distances you want? They will be valid for the whole page(s) in the document.

Thanks onthelimit1! Didn't realise they would be automatically set for the whole page. Many thanks.
