Hi, I've got and oldish computer that I want to give to charity, what is the best way of removing any data that is on the hard drive? Thanks.

I would completely remove the old hard drive and destroy it with a hammer before parting with it !

Or if you what to leave the drive in

wipe it with Killdisk http://www.killdisk.com/ and reinstall windows
