Can't download TV programme from iTunes to iPad

I have just downloaded a Jeremy Clarkson special from the iTunes store. However I can't seem to transfer it to my iPad. If I try to sync TV programmes I get the usual warning that everything will be deleted! I have tried copying it and dragging it. I have also played a few seconds of it because some one said you had to do that to register it, but all to no avail. Any suggestions please?

Is is listed in your iTunes library under TV programmes?

Yes, solved it now thanks, it had only partially downloaded!
