Problems with removing PCI slots on Acer.

Hello everyone,

My name is Louis and I just bought a new desktop computer- Acer Predator g3610. I noticed that the computer didn't have an easy access to the PCI-e slots. The problems today is that the computer doesn t have an integrated PCI-e wireless card. So I had to install one myself. When I tried to remove the strip that covers the PCI-e slot I found out that it was attached to the system unit...???? So its not like the old fashion style strip as it has no screws holding it. My question is that am I allowed to remove the strip that covers the PCI-e by breaking it..?? Thanks for help as I am in great need of internet.

Cheers, Louis

With a computer as new as yours is, you would be better off talking to Acer support. They will tell you if what you propose doing will invalidate your warranty and may well suggest a different method.
