I have my nephews laptop (Toshiba Satellite) which was a bit bugged out but now thanks to Rkill and Malwarebytes is running fine.

I can't get the wireless to connect to my network even although I know the password is 100% right, in device manager it says the device is working fine? any tips on how I can test this further? (will it matter if I switch off the security on my router?)

Its win vista N

I have removed the security on my router and it connects fine, don't know why it doesn't like WPA/WEP2 level security but I'll return it and see if it works at his house.

"don't know why it doesn't like WPA/WEP2 level security"

I really depends on your router. Some routers don't support some security levels.
