Micro SD cards

Just bought a new mobile which can take a micro SD card to expand the memory/storage.
Is it better to transfer photos from the phone to my PC using a micro USB cable attached to the phone or to buy a separate USB adaptor to fit the card into.
If a USB adaptor, do members recommend any particular make/model?

MicroSd/SD Adapter card, then use a everyday Card Reader on PC.

Nontek
Thanks, but my PC doesn't have the ability to take/read an SD card which is why I asked about USB devices.

Just plug the phone into the PC via its USB connector the phone memory and Micro SD car will be detected as mass storage devices and shown in my computer as extra drives.

Fruit Bat
That seems to be the answer.
As you probably guessed, I'm new to the world of micro SD cards. ;-))

Agree with Fruit Bat. Also, dependant on phone model, you may have to turn it off and take the battery out to access the micro sd card.

Many manufacturers/retailers include an adaptor when you buy a micro SD card.
In fact, I have never found one that doesn't, but I'm sure they exist!
