do I need antivirus and firewall when running Linux os 2011

I thought I knew of most of the mainstream Linux distributions, but I've never heard of that one. Are you sure you have the name right?
In general, the answer would be no, you don't need anti-virus and a firewall is optional. But I hesitate as I'm not really sure what you are referring to.
A firewall for everyone is (I believe) a good idea, but if you're behind a router (as many people on broadband now are), it's not really necessary to have two and can make troubleshooting in the event of a connection problem, difficult.

not sure about what linux you are refering to
but i would suggest taking precautions though threats to linux are less prevelant than windows they are still their, bBetter safe than sorry as they say
