hp pavilion dv9000 Display

When on boot up screen is playing up by showing yellow squares then green ones. And all through boot it continues then on the OS its still green square... I have tried installing different drivers i have even cleaned the adapted for the screen within the laptop itself? Any ideas? Please Help

Try connecting to an external monitor / TV, is it the same?

If so then graphics chip

if OK on external then usually a bad connection / cable to the laptop screen.
