sound problem

its a sony laptop with xp

when playing a you tube video if the sound is turned up too high get a high pitch squeal any ideas anyone please. happens on various webs.

sound problems can be caused by different variables first stop if you havent done so update drivers if available.

Beyond our control outside interference radio waves etc,

Or the speakers in your laptop are not to healthy if using onboard sound maybe worth trying some external speakers see what that does

Sounds (no pun intended) that it's an interference between a microphone and speakers. Check the webcam is not activated.
