Acronis True Image versus Samsung Recovery

Just bought a Samsung laptop that has Samsung Recovery installed. I had not realised prior to purchase that this was on the unit and am about to install my Acronis True Image 2010 onto the laptop. I used Samsung Recovery to create a full backup and this resulted in a SamsungRecovery folder being created onto my external drive into which there now resides five files. My query is as to the reliability of the Samsung product against Acronis and wonder if anyone has any input to answer this? I shall in the meantime also (belt and braces) create Acronis images. Anyone?

I don't personally own any Samsung products but a couple of my children do. They are all delighted with them. Samsung is a huge company with a good reputation, so I would doubt that they would provide a backup programme which didn't work properly.
By all means use Acronis as well, you will certainly have all the bases covered!
I don't like Acronis and use Windows backup, weekly. It does everything I need, and it's free!
