DVD & CD drives u/s

Suddenly both my DVD & CD drives have stopped working I checked in the device manager and the drivers seem to be missing what has caused this?

Thanks for your rely rdave13 I managed to copy mt windows disk on to a flash memory stick and reinstalled windows again now my computer is back to normal, Thanks again.

Reinstall usually takes care of any problems. Hope the updates don't take too long.
