Open control panel, then select backup your computer,in the schedule view click the turn off schedule button left of the screen.Im assuming its saving backups at intervels so this should stop it.

Forgot to add after you turn if off you make get a message in the action centre, telling you backup is not on,or your pc isnt bieng backed up,to turn those off open the action centre,by clicking the little flag in the taskbar, click the maintanence tab and click turn off messages about backup.
