Range of my BTHub3

I'm sorry to be so naive but as explained in a previous thread I've never had wireless connectivity before now. Is the range of my BT Hub local, national or international? If it's just local, how can I get a secure connection away from home?

This review reckons the Home Hub 3 has a range of 40 metres, so as far as your question is concerned it is a local connection. But if you have BT Broadband you have access to over 2 million public hotspots see here so you could say it also national.

Many thanks chub_tor. Sorry about the delay in responding to you, but I had not had the usual e-mail notification that you had replied.
