OS Windows 7

I have only just got IE8, but still prefer to use Firefox 5.0.1. Microsoft wants me to 'update' to IE9. I thought I'd check in with you guys first for your opinions?

OS Vista,

I prefer FF 3.6.18. Latest version Firefox 5.0.1. wont run very well.

Opera is my second choice.

IE has never run well for me on this laptop even after fresh installs so never used it.

I think that most of Microsoft software is a pain when it first comes out of beta. You have to give it a while before downloading it, a few months or so. They are never really ready to be launched on an unsuspection public till after they've had all the updates and patches. By then they're usually relatively ok. In the early stages of both IE7 and IE8 I had all sorts of problems, but I persevered and we all came through it in the end.
